If only the inhabitants of our city wanted to dress fashionably, at the beginning of the 20th century, they could choose from various proposals. Parisian models were proposed by the Cyrus fashion house (on the corner of Gdańska and Krasiński streets), elegant outfits for all household members were offered by the Conitzer Brothers Department Store (known in the interwar period as Be-De-Te), or by Siuchniński & Stobiecki and the Matecki brothers in the Old Market Square. The shoes were bought mainly in the "Leo" Weynerowski salon. Many tailor shops sewed according to patterns from fashion magazines, furrier workshops sold furs and stoles. Fashion shows were organized at the "Pod Orłem" hotel and the City Theater. In order to follow fashion trends on a regular basis, ladies subscribed to "Moja Przyjaciółka", "Bluszcz" i "Uroda".
