Collecting Photography

In class, we'll talk about the photography market and the most important auction houses in Poland and around the world, and why are we actually afraid to buy photos?

Thanks to the workshops you will learn about:

• how much can you earn in the photography market (auction records in the world)
• what is a collector's print
• what vintage print is and why it is so valuable
• production standards and description of photographs intended for auctions
• artists particularly sought after by collectors
• significant photo galleries in Poland
• Collector's Photography Fair
• auction houses selling photography in Poland
• current prices of photography in Poland (both young digital creators and black and white photography classics)

The workshops will be conducted by the graduate of the Polish and International Art Market at the Academy of Finance and Business Vistula in Warsaw and the College of Photography at the State School of Theater, Film and Television (PWSFTiT) in Łódź - Katarzyna Gębarowska.

After completing the course, each participant will have basic and sufficient knowledge to create their own collection or enter the photography market as a creator.
