Hekla Studio consists of two graphic artists - Monika Proniewska and Paulina Ufnal. Hekla deals with visual identification, designing publications, music CD covers and various types of job prints, as well as press illustration. The studio often cooperates with cultural institutions (including the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Cultural Center in Lublin, the Nośna Foundation, the City Culture Institute in Gdańsk, the Farbiarnia Foundation in Bydgoszcz, and the Design Institute in Kielce). Hekla's illustrations have been published in magazines such as „KukBuk”,„Zwykłe Życie”, „g’rls ROOM”, „Non/fiction –nieregularnik reporterski”.
In her design work, Hekla Studio uses a variety of artistic techniques with the use of paper: collage, hand-drawn patterns, painted, gradient shapes. In addition to design activities, the studio conducts workshops on branding, collage and bookbinding techniques, and creates a series of t-shirts with original drawings transferred to the material using the screen printing technique. Privately, enthusiasts of volcanoes (Hekla is a volcano located in Iceland), vegetation and Japanese books.
