Water is life. In Central Asia, water also means peace. Starting from peace of mind and small everyday rituals, ending with political uncertainty and the real threat of war between neighboring countries. For centuries, the rhythm of life was determined by the caravans traveling across the wastelands between cities and oases. Respect for water has left a lasting mark on customs, traditions, architecture and the longing of sentimental images.
Coming from a country full of greenery and mid-forest lakes, with access to the sea breaking deeper into the land, which is struggling with periodic floods, there is reflection on respect for water as a substance that gives rhythm to life. In the face of the risk of increasing water scarcity in Poland, despite the superficial wealth, in the near future water may become a substance defining the beginning and end of our existence on the principles that we now treat as obvious.
