"Transit zone" is a subjective photographic record of hitchhiking travel all along the American Highway, northwards from Argentina to Alaska.
It gives interpretation from insider's perspective on the landscape of the American highway created not only by the thin strip of asphalt but most of all by all the civilizational outgrowth that is the expression of the road culture of the New World
The photographs are scanned frames of 35 mm negative film.
Maciek Iwaniszewski, born 1985. Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics, currently student of The Institute of Creative Photography of Silesian Univeristy in Opava, Czech Republic. Author of one single exhibition (2015, Dwór Artusa, Toruń), participant of many group exhibitions.
