Mariusz Hermanowicz | All traces
The exhibition presents unique materials from the archive of Mariusz Hermanowicz from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, curated by the Archeology of Photography Foundation.
The display combines the author's photographs with previously unpublished notebooks, mail art, poetic works, and typescripts, highlighting the relationship between word and image in his work. The presentation reflects the dialogue between the visual world and literary reality, showcasing their mutual synergy.
The exhibition reveals a less obvious side of the author, featuring materials bearing traces of his handwritten edits, the search for the ideal textual formula, and playful drawings in the margins of some works. The curatorial concept blends bold typography that takes over the gallery space and the play with words within the works themselves, inviting both connoisseurs and new audiences into the world of photography.
