This workshop for anyone interested in silver technique and darkroom work.
In the intensive 7 hours workshop program there are the following points:
1. A show of author's prints of Anita Andrzejewska and a conversation about aesthetics in photography.
2. A brief theoretical introduction to the three stages of the silver technique: negative selection and exposure, negative development and printing.
3. Discussion of the types of paper, developers, enlargers and the positive process on multi-graduation paper.
4. Practical work in the darkroom on silver prints, which participants will make from their own previously created negatives or shared by the teacher.
5. Drying and retouching of prints.
Anita Andrzejewska – a graduate of graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, photographer, traveler and illustrator of children's books. He collaborates with Galeria Leica in Warsaw and Gallerie Camera Obscura in Paris. Specializes in traditional silver photography.
Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture, winner of numerous national and foreign awards, including Grand Prix Vintage Photo Festival in Bydgoszcz and in the competition for a photographic project for the American Santa Fe Center for Visual Arts. She exhibited her works in Iceland, Japan, Canada, USA, Iran, Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Spain, Hungary and Slovakia. She is the author of several individual photographic exhibitions, the most important of which are: "In the Blink of an Eye" (2016; The Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie en Gaspésie, Canada) "Hurry up" (2014; Leica Gallery, Warsaw), "Looking" ( 2011; Warsaw, Kraków, Łódź), "Nur-e dżan" (2009; Warsaw, Katowice, Athens, Istanbul), "Footprints" (2007; Toruń), "Places" (2004; Katowice).
For years, he has been involved in artistic and social projects connecting Europe and Asia. She led, among others art workshops for children in Indian Ahmedabad, Istanbul, Turin and Genoa, she also visited Iran several times, where she co-created photography and literary projects in Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Ride.
He runs photography workshops and courses for youth and adults, as well as art courses for children, based on the idea of personal development and communication through art. In them, he uses his many years of artistic experience, mindfulness practice and contemplative psychology, believing that creative action and the pursuit of beauty are the innate needs of man that allow him to reach his deepest potential and communicate beyond all age, cultural or environmental differences.
