As part of the Archive of Beautiful Love project, the Fotografistka Foundation collected old wedding photos for several months. As in previous projects, we encouraged Bydgoszcz residents to check what was hidden in their home archives. As a result, we managed to collect over a hundred wedding photos, the oldest of which come from the end of the 19th century. The collected photos are not only a valuable collection of photographs, but above all an extremely interesting record of local history, illustrating wedding customs and their changes over the years. The Archives of Beautiful Love is full of warm memories, funny anecdotes and bitter endings. The selected photos will appear in the album published by the Foundation. The remaining photos will be presented in the form of postcards during the exhibition in the parish church in Bydgoszcz on Friday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. The event will be accompanied by a concert of the Sana Quartet string quartet with Patrycja Błaszak-Bieńkuńska. The musicians are graduates of the Music Academies and Universities in Warsaw, Łódź, Bydgoszcz and Oslo. They actively work as orchestral musicians in the Grand Theater of the National Opera, the Polish Radio Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic and others. The instrumentalists' achievements include awards and distinctions at Polish and European music competitions, participation in the European Chamber Music Academy in Vienna, NY strings scholarship in New York or a concert at the Grieg festival in Bergen.
