During the meeting, I will talk about how instant photography can be used to create creative photographs and its impact on the contemporary approach to photography. I will discuss how the unique form of instant photography influences the perception of images and the creative process. I will also share insights on creating a series of photos and how to build a visual story from scratch using instant photography. Throughout the meeting, I will showcase a few photo series and explain how to creatively leverage the advantages of instant photography.
Wiktor Franko, born in 1983, has been involved in both artistic and commercial photography for 14 years. He is the author of numerous publications and exhibitions. His works have been featured in Polish and international photographic, fashion, and lifestyle magazines, including Label Magazine, Foto, Fashion World Magazine (Italy), Oppa Magazine (UK), Cleptafire (France), Reykjavik Boulevard Magazine (Iceland), Papercut Magazine (USA), and Prime Magazine (China). Franko has also collaborated with magazines such as Charaktery and Art and Business, producing many cover and editorial photo sessions. Currently, he is working with Kraft Magazine, with his cover photo session featured in its first issue.
Franko has participated in both group and solo exhibitions, held in London, Berlin, and Warsaw. His photographs have been recognized in various photography contests, winning the Grand Prix twice at the Viva Photo Awards.
Since 2018, he has been an ambassador for the Fujifilm brand. He carries out photographic projects with Fuji cameras and conducts photography workshops, teaching portrait photography and storytelling through images.
Currently, he is professionally engaged in photographing musicians, capturing album covers, and promotional sessions. He collaborates with music labels Kayax and Fonobo.
In 2018, Franko released his first book (album) - Vol.1, containing a selection of works from the past ten years of his photography. The book was published by the DIFA Foundation, and he is currently working on another publication.
His photography encompasses classic black-and-white portraits, lifestyle photo series, and surreal conceptual works. He is fond of classic photographic techniques, using both Polaroid and various types of analog cameras.
Atmosphere, specific mood, surprise, wit, and sincerity are crucial elements in his photography.
Wiktor Franko permanently resides and works in Warsaw.
